Baltic Data Center, a leader in data centre and information systems management in the Baltic States, and the retail chain Rimi Latvia have signed an agreement for provision of data center, IT infrastructure and data communication services.

Baltic Data Center has acquired a Computing Systems Specialist specialisation, therefore it will be able to provide the customers not only with HP solution-based system installation services, but also system development and designing services. 

Baltic Data Center, a leader in data centre and information systems management in the Baltic States, will provide IT infrastructure lease, server hosting and system maintenance services to Sergel, one of the largest credit management and debt collection companies in Lithuania.

Baltic Data Center, a leader in data centre and information systems management in the Baltic States, has signed cooperation agreements with companies in Latvia and Estonia and from now on will provide the unified services for the development of data centers and information systems, and for the maintenance computer workplaces and infrastructures in the three Baltic States.

This data centre, which applies KyotoCooling, a modern server cooling technology, is amongst Europe's most ecological data centres and will be used for the development of cloud computing services.

TEO Group is going to invest LTL 2.2 million in this expansion, which uses up to 8 times less electricity for cooling than conventional data centres.

On Saturday, approximately one thousand employees from TEO Group, the largest provider of integrated telecommunication, IT and television services in Lithuania, and their family members will participate for the third year in a row in the campaign Darom (Let's Do It), which will take place in the whole of Lithuania.

The operation of the information system for the electronic census of Lithuanian population that ended on Wednesday was ensured by cloud computing solutions. Virtual resource services for the Department of Statistics (Statistics Lithuania), the organizer of the census, were provided by Baltic Data Center, a leader in the management of data centers and information systems in the Baltic States.

In 2010 revenue of Baltic Data Center, a leader in the management of data centers and information systems in the Baltic States, was LTL 49.8 million, an increase by 25.4 per cent over the revenue of LTL 39.7 million in 2009. The revenue growth of the company belonging to TEO Group resulted from expansion of web-hosting business and development of virtual resource services.
