About ISO 27001

BDC is the first company in its sector in the Baltic States to receive the international certificate of compliance with the ISO/IEC 27001 standard confirming that the company's activities comply with the strictest requirements for information security. ISO/IEC 27001 is an information security management system (ISMS) standard published in 2005 by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC). 

ISO 27001 standard ensures these aspects of Information Security:
  Confidentiality -  information is accessible only to those authorized to have access.
  Integrity - safeguarding the accuracy and completeness of information in all stages of its processing as defined by owner of information.
   Availability - ensuring that authorized users have access to information and associated assets when required.

Requirements of this standard involve 11 different aspects of organization:
  Risk management;
  Security policy, principles, standards and procedures;
  Organization of information security;
  HR security;
  Physical and environmental security;
  Access authorization;
  Communication and operations management;
  Incidents management;
  Continuity of commercial activities;
  Asset management;
  Compliance with international and national law.
